With a variety of skin resurfacing lasers being available on the market we know it can be overwhelming trying to figure out which ones are for you. We have made a simple guide to help you understand the key differences between 2 of our most popular corrective lasers!
Here at Infinity Skin, we pride our selves on offering the latest and most innovative technologies and we spend a lot time researching and trialing devices before we offer them in clinic to our patients.
Moxi Laser
The Moxi Laser by Sciton is the latest non-ablative 1927 thulium laser that provides a gentler approach to laser resurfacing. With Moxi you can reduce unwanted superficial pigmentation and improve skin tone and texture without the recovery or downtime associated with more aggressive laser procedures.
Moxi is designed to treat all skin colours and can be performed at any time of the year (Yes, including summer!). Moxi is ideal for younger patients who are just starting a skin regimen or those wanting to revitalize and refresh your skin’s appearance with minimal downtime. Due to the minimal downtime needed and the gentleness of the technology, it is also an ideal treatment for regular skin maintenance to keep your skin looking refreshed.
Depending on your treatment goals and the level of correction desired, most patients require 3-4 Moxi treatments spaced about 4 weeks apart. They then often elect for regular maintenance treatments about 2-3 times a year.
Downtime 3-5 days of mild redness/swelling and texture. Makeup can be worn after 24 hours.
Halo Laser
The Halo by Sciton has become one of our most popular skin resurfacing treatments over the last few years. Halo is the world’s first Hybrid Fractional Laser (HFL), which delivers non-ablative (1470nm) and ablative (2940nm) wavelengths to the same microscopic treatment zone, resulting in better improvement of skin concerns than other similar lasers on the market.
In addition to all the skin conditions Moxi can treat, Halo penetrates much deeper into the skin. This makes it more superior for treating more stubborn skin conditions such as deep pigmentation, wrinkles and scarring.
Best results will depend on your treatment goals and level of skin damage. Most patients receive 1-3 corrective treatments 4 weeks apart. Results will continue to form over a space of 3-6 months. Maintenance treatments are recommended annually or biannually.
Downtime 5-7 days of moderate redness/swelling and texture. Makeup can be worn after 24 hours
Is Moxi or Halo Better for Me?
Moxi is the perfect way to treat mild and superficial concerns, including fine lines, surface pigment, and pores. It prevents future skin damage and signs of aging before they appear. Moxi is also great when you are wanting to maintain your skin and prevent further damage after having stronger treatments. It is safe for all skin types.
If you are looking to reverse years of aging, scarring and other skin issues such as lines, wrinkles and deep pigment, the Halo Laser is the better option for you. This is due to Halo targeting the skin at a much deeper level than Moxi and also being a Hybrid (You get 2 types of lasers at once).

Can I combine different Lasers together?
We are a huge fan of combining our laser and light devices with each other on the same day to really boost your results even further, here some of our favorite combos down below.
