Treatment of
WRINKLES

Information
There are many causes for facial wrinkles, including muscle movement, sun damage, smoking and the ageing process, because you lose collagen and elastin fibres in your skin. Treatment of wrinkles are very common and there are many options for the treatment of wrinkles using minimally invasive methods.
Common non-surgical treatments for wrinkles include temporary treatments to reduce muscle movement, add volume and shape the face, skin hydration treatments, and longer-lasting treatments such bio-stimulation and bio-remodelling treatments to stimulate collagen production, as well as lasers such as the HALO, Profractional and Contour TRL laser resurfacing which can also reduce wrinkles.
As well as the lasers there are other longer-lasting options for treating wrinkles, such as surgery, including facial fat transfer, browlift (forehead lift), facelift and necklift (meloplasty). For these surgical procedures you will need a consultation with a Specialist Plastic Surgeon such as Dr Charles Cope.
The best procedure will depend on the issues you wish to address, which is why all patients will need to consult with a professional prior to deciding on their treatment plan.
During the consultation you can discuss which treatments you may be suitable for, the risks and benefits of the different options, as well as what each procedure involves and other important details.
